I've had a lot of fun doing quick shots for families who wanted a nicely rendered photograph to send with holiday greeting cards.

I especially loved working with this lovely family and their dog, Champ.

One very poignant image I cropped from the family. The love between this boy and his dog is one of those timeless images that brings us back to those aspects of our lives that are important. Our love for family and friends--and this includes our pets--is a fundamental part of being human.

This year ends with uncertainty for many. Yet as I look at this touching image of this young man and his dog, I feel a quiet solace that the love we share is one certain thing we do have.
